123. Tranquillity

It amazes me that amongst all the turmoil, and devastation that has befallen Northern Glenumbra, there is still to be found a place of such tranquillity and natural beauty.  It is under the branches of this ancient Wyrd tree that the mage Gabrielle Benele intends to perform a ritual to recharge the Daedric relic she has called the ‘Midnight Talisman’.

So here I am on a secluded beach, under a moonlit sky, alone with a beautiful Breton, whilst magic fizzes in the air all about us…

122. Merovec’s Folly

The ruins of Merovec’s Folly, and perhaps a foreshadow of Daggerfall should we fail to stop the Bloodthorn this day.  This fortification has been lost to the undead horde, but somewhere amongst this ruin and rubble, there is a mage searching for a relic that may prove to be the key to bringing down Angof’s magical barrier.  I must find her before the dead do.

121. Achieve the day

The Lion Guard’s final push against Angof’s cult has reached an impasse at the foot of Cath Bedraud.  A magical barrier bars entry to the cemetery whilst the Bloodthorn’s ever growing scourge of undead threatens to engulf the Guard’s forward camp from every direction.

The time for forethought and deliberation has gone, action can no longer be delayed for fear of possibilities of what might or might not happen.  Now is the moment, for either we become the storm, or we become lost to it.

Our future, and the future of all Glenumbra, depends upon what we achieve this day.

120. Rendezvous at the Dwynnarth Ruins

120. Rendezvous at the Dwynnarth Ruins

There has been whisper and bruit for some time now that the Bloodthorn Cult and Red Rook Bandits may have been working in confederacy to bring about the downfall of Glenumbra.  Whether or not that has been the case, a chance capture of a Red Rook agent leads to the discovery of a meeting of envoys set in the hulking Ayleid carcass of the Dwynnarth Ruins.

It will take a little cloak and dagger to undermine this conclave, but thankfully there is enough suspicion and dubiety amongst this rubble and ruin that the death of Envoy Caoiss should prove enough to put an end to any potential axis between the two.

It is surprising to me that the Red Rooks would want such an alliance.  Surely they have considered that if the Bloodthorn are successful and Glenumbra falls, what use then will Molag Bal have for them, other than fresh souls and fodder for the undead horde.

119. Angof’s resurrected

119. Angof's resurrected

The Lions Guard look to push the Bloodthorn cultists back to the Cath Bedraud cemetery, but the land all about is infested with the undead.  Nobody in Daggerfall was aware just how bad it had gotten for the people up here.  Homesteads, farms and even small towns have been lost as Angof’s resurrected legions devour Northern Glenumbra.

The necromancers violate the departed, turning their corpses into undead puppets that heed only to the Reachman’s call.  These rotting creatures flounder unsteadily, till they catch the scent of living flesh upon the air, then they move with a speed defiant of their decaying carcasses, and all too often capture their prey unprepared.
